About the brand

MESS in a Bottle

MESS in a Bottle is a t-shirt company with MESSages packaged in a reusable bottle. Established as a form of communication, a way to evoke change, and to start important
conversations. MESS in a Bottle was birthed in a small row-house in Baltimore, Maryland, the brand quickly gained traction and became nationally recognized. Founded in 2016, after Freddie Gray, an African- American male, died while in police custody, this sparked riots in our Baltimore City community, leaving the people needing a MESSage.

The concept of the brand stems from the 310 B.C. form of communication and receiving a MESSage in the Bottle.

Celebrities such as Viola Davis, Serena Williams, Luvvie Ajayi Jones, Bozoma Saint John, Lena Waithe, Yvonne Orji and more, are all proud supporters of the brand.

The brand has been featured on national television, with Shark Tank’s Mark Cuban. We have fostered partnerships and brand collaborations with major corporations such as Warner Brothers Studios for their movie, The Kitchen, YouTube, Roc Nation artist, Rapsody, The TLC Network, BET, Google, and most recently Target, for their Black History Month collection.

Expanding beyond t-shirts, we continue to be a voice for the voiceless and spread our MESSage.
