MESS in a Bottle has teamed with music icon Philip Bailey of Earth, Wind & Fire, and founder of the Music Is Unity Foundation (MIU),  to celebrate National Foster Care Month in style. The MIU and MESS In a Bottle collab kicks off the first-ever Power of Unity campaign with special t-shirts designed to raise funds for youth emancipating from the foster care system. Timed to the 2023 EWF Tour, MIU will also announce the return of  its annual “Backstage Soundcheck.”

“Backstage Soundcheck” was developed to help youth aged 18-26, transitioning out of the U.S. foster care system, learn about careers in the music industry. The immersive program engages participants in a behind-the-scenes, pre-concert tour of EWF and offers a look at the variety of roles and industry careers available. Foster youth from San Diego, Phoenix, and Cincinnati will experience concert preparations, a pre-concert soundcheck plus a Q&A with Philip Bailey and other Earth, Wind, & Fire members and tour staff. The inspirational one-day program ends with the opportunity for foster youth and their  chaperones to enjoy an amazing Earth Wind & Fire concert.
