Production Manager

Overview 

The Production Manager/Specialist is responsible for supply chain and logistics by ensuring there are cost-effective purchases for all MESS goods and services. This position will work collaboratively with MESS operations staff  in the purchasing process from selecting suppliers to ensuring there is stock optimization, as well as provide guidance on sourcing and procurement processes. 

Key Role Responsibilities 

  • Inventory Management Reporting; run and share reports to identify low/high product inventory
  • Manage all shop management and fulfillment activities; wholesale, pop-ups, “shefrom” and collaborations
  • Process vendor invoices for payment
  • Sourcing and engagement of reliable wholesale suppliers and vendors 
  • Liaison between Third Party Fulfillment (3PL) and MESS (product transfers and inventory adjustments)
  • Management of international production work (order status, inventory reconciliation, invoice management and communications
  • Responds to ongoing internal and external correspondence
  • Execute all product ordering
  • Assist with maintaining and organized on and off-site products for sale
  • Support MESS productions team with product forecasting modeling
  • Support any ad hoc projects/tasks that pop-up sporadically
  • Reviews and manages assigned business email account(s)

    Knowledge, Experience and Skills 

    Formal Education and Training 

    • High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • Valid Driver’s License and a personal vehicle

    Experience

    • 1-2 years of supply chain experience
    • Experience using supply chain software and tools

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Experience in computer technology especially, email, appointment scheduling software and Microsoft Office
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Excellent organization and time-management skills
    • Able to follow instructions clearly and accurately within a timely fashion
    • Proactive and enthusiast about delivering positive results
    • Able to correspond with clients and customers in a professional manner
