What's Your MESS-age? {Keech Combe-Shetty}

Meet Keech Combe-Shetty, the president of Vagisil. Her message is VAGINA! Yep, that’s it! A simple yet powerful word that makes this week’s “What’s your message Wednesday” unique. Vagina is so much more than just a word. According to Merriam Webster, the vagina is a canal in a female mammal that leads from the uterus to the external orifice of the genital canal. That might be the official definition, but the vagina is over sexualized all too often today. It makes people squeamish just hearing it, like a toddler hearing the word “cooties.” Because of the way the media perceives this female organ, the vagina is thought of in the most discourteous and foul ways. Just like the ear is for hearing and legs are meant for walking, the vagina has its purpose too. Life passes through this part of the body daily around the world and it should not be thought of in a naughty sense. Instead, the vagina should be celebrated and placed on a pedestal. What do you think of when you hear the word Vagina? How do you think the perception of the word can be used changed?
